THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT, Mar 27, 2011

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
It’s not a single, great heroic deed
that defines who you really are.
It’s the little things you do day by day that count.

LENTEN PILGRIMAGE
Journey and Pilgrimage are special parts of our faith tradition. This Lent we are offering two pilgrimages here in Ossory. We would like to invite you to join us.
The First, for all members of Parish Pastoral Councils, those involved in parishes and anyone else who would like to join us for the afternoon, will take place as a walk by the river Barrow from St. Mullins to Graiguenamanagh with evening prayer in the beautiful Duiske Abbey. On Sunday, March 27.
The Second, for all those in the 20’s 30’s 40’s or above, will take place as a pilgrimage up Slievenamon on Sunday, April 3. For further information contact: Ossory Adult Faith Development 056-7753624, email afd@ossory.ie or text 086-6097483.

BUFFET/PARTY FOOD COOKERY DEMONSTRATION
Phelim Byrne is back to host a Buffet/Party Food Cookery Demonstration, as a fundraiser for the Girls School on Thurs. March 31 in Comerford’s Lounge at 8pm. This will give you ideas and recipes for the parties you host at home, especially with Communion and Confirmation soon. All recipes will be available to take home and food will be raffled. For those who missed him in December, this is a great night out and you see everything he does as his cameraman projects everything onto two big screens. Cost €20.
