MELLARY GROTTO
Monday, August 15 – ‘Feast of the Assumption’ Prayers 3pm – 5pm including Benediction of Blessed Sacrament (by special permission) at 3pm.
Programme for 26th Anniversary 2011
Organised prayers in the grotto during Anniversary commencing on Tuesday, August 16. Anniversary will continue each evening at 8pm.
Saturday, August 20 – Prayers 9.00pm followed by all night vigil 12.00am to 6.00am
Sunday, August 21 – Prayers 3.00pm to 5.00pm. also at 8.00pm
Anniversary will close with candle light procession.

WORLD MISSIONS IRELAND
The Pontifical Mission Societies in Ireland would like to say Thank You for your support of ‘World Missions Ireland’. This year we made €2,746,000 available to the Universal Solidarity Fund for distribution in 2011. This included the Mission Sunday Collection for 2010 as well as monies donated by individual donors and schools.

MOONCOIN GAA
Mooncoin GAA are celebrating 125 years on August 20/21.  The event will be opened on Saturday, August 20 at 7.30 by Liam O'Neill, GAA President Elect. Past winning teams of the hurling, football and camogie club will be honoured. An exhibition will be held showcasing past memorabilia of the club. We are still taking in memorabilia, which can be handed in to the GAA Sport Complex between 7.30 pm and 9pm - all items will be returned to the owner post the event.
On Sunday, a family GAA Fun Day will be held, there will be a townsland league involving the members of the Juvenile Club, followed by an exhibition match between Mooncoin and Tullaroan at 3pm. Live music and BBQ will also take place on Sunday. All are welcome  - free entry.

SOUTH KILKENNY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The next event will be a Cruise on the River Barrow with commentary on Saturday, August 20 as part of Heritage Week 2011 Event. Group leaves on the Galley Cruise, New Ross, at 2.30 p.m. Cost €12 per person (including tea and scones). Further information and booking Eddie Synnott (086-8124349).

GRAPEVINE COLLECTION
Will be held on weekend Aug 27/28

PARENT & TODDLER GROUP
Will be resuming on September 6 in the Parish Hall. Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.30 to 12.30. All are welcome.
