ADVENT
A TIME OF PREPARATION FOR CHRISTMAS!
To help us celebrate Advent this year we propose the following and invite you to participate.
Each Tuesday evening to have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 6.30pm to Mass time.
Each Wednesday morning to begin at 9.20am the Official Morning Prayer of the Church and Mass.
Reconciliation & Healing Service in Parish Church on Thursday, December 16, at 7.30pm. Visiting Priests available for confession.
Opportunity for confession after all the Masses the weekend before Christmas, December 18/19.
Carol Service in Carrigeen Church on Tuesday, December 21, at 8pm.
Mass and Anointing for the members of the Day Care Centre on Wednesday, December 1, at 3pm in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
Mass and Anointing in the Nursing Home on Thursday, December 9, at 2.30pm.
Service for Coláiste Cois Siúire & Primary Schools – dates to be decided.

DRUG AWARENESS CALENDERS
This year’s Drug Awareness Calendars will be on sale in the Supper Room on Sun. Nov. 28 during the ‘Christmas Fair’. Price: 1 for €3, or 2 for €5. They will also be on sale outside all the churches on Sun. Dec. 5. and in the local shops before Christmas. Many thanks for your support during the year, without your support we could not continue.

MOONCOIN GAA
Well Done to the U21 hurling team on winning the Southern Final in Slieverue on Nov 20. Mooncoin 3-8 : Glenmore 1-11.
Mooncoin AGM
AGM will be held on Dec. 10 in the Complex at 8pm. All members are welcome to attend.
Mass
The annual mass for deceased GAA players will be held on Sat. Dec 11 in Mooncoin Church at 6.30pm.

YOUTH CLUB
Congratulations to Brenda Holden & Jenny O’Keeffe who were both presented with a ‘Traders Award’ for their commitment to youth. This presentation was made by Ossory Youth in Springhill Hotel on Nov. 19. Also to David Conway on receiving an award for all his hard work and dedication to the 4 to 1 Group and Mooncoin D.A.P.P. Well done to all of you, well deserved.

FUNDRAISER FOR GIRLS’ SCHOOL
Christmas Cookery Demonstration by Phelim Byrne on Tues. Nov. 30 in Comerford’s Lounge. He will cook and give hints for the perfect Christmas Dinner (you may find new starters/desserts etc. to impress your family and friends). All recipes will be available to take home. Everyone – no matter where you are seated – will be able to see him, as his cameraman will show everything on two screens. 7:00pm – 7:35pm Wine & Cheese reception followed by demonstration. Cost €20.

The monthly mass of St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society will take place on Thurs. Dec. 2 at 9.30am in Mooncoin Church. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for intercession for vocations will follow immediately afterwards in the Nagle Chapel and will conclude at 11.00am. All are welcome.
