Mooncoin Badminton ended its great year at a disco in the Parish Hall recently. Club awards were presented on the night. Player of the year 09/10 was John Fitzgerald and Special Merit Awards were presented to Eoin Dowling, Ellie Hogan, Megan Hewetson and Jack Cuddihy. Congratulations to all of them. The committee would like to thank its members, selectors, managers, the committee of the Sports Complex and anyone that helped the Club during the year, it was very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in September.
I would like to sincerely congratulate and thank my fellow club members, our sponsors, the Kilkenny and Waterford teams and the people of Mooncoin for making last Sundays official opening such a wonderful success. Equally well done to our Intermediate team for a very strong performance against Gowran last Saturday evening. These are positive steps in our efforts to drive our teams and our parish forward. Well done to everyone, take a bow you deserve it.
